We wanted to make an impact with the launch of Fortitude, our amazing new scent that celebrates 100 years of votes for women, and we did just that.
Visitors to Chestertons Polo in the Park, in the verdant surroundings of London’s Hurlingham Park, queued to sample the fragrance and all agreed that – like all Boadicea the Victorious perfumes – it has the ‘wow’ factor.
Blessed with a sunny day on Saturday – which was Ladies Day – everybody enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
And visitors to our stand in the park loved the stunning display of a chariot complete with two Ancient Gladiators prepared to do battle alongside Boadicea the Warrior Queen whose legend inspires our brand.
The occasion even brought us national newspaper coverage, with the Mail on Sunday praising both the perfume and our presentation.
Fortitude is now on sale at Selfridges, as well as through our website, and is already proving popular with customers who love not only the distinctive scent but the sentiment of celebrating the most significant breakthrough for emancipation of modern times.
Designed as an intensely feminine fragrance, with the dynamism of bergamot and cassis plus precious silvan undertones and a courageous heart with ravishing florals and mysterious ylang-ylang, and presented in a bottle emblazoned with the symbol of the female, Fortitude is a fragrance that makes a statement.
